🌿 Parrots Love Our Seed Cylinders! 🦜 We often get asked what our local parrots and parakeets enjoy eating—and here’s a perfect example! What a fun coincidence that our Bird of the Month made a backyard appearance this week. Isn’t that amazing? 📸 Big thanks to Theresa Heistuman for capturing these stunning action shots of Red-Crowned Parrots enjoying two of our most popular seed cylinders: No Mess and Bug, Nut, & Berry! She spotted them right in her backyard near Garret Rd and Dillworth Rd in Harlingen. We appreciate you sharing, Theresa! It’s such a joy to see these vibrant, endangered birds thriving on high-quality food. 🐦💚 🌻 Why Choose Seed Cylinders? Seed cylinders are a fantastic way to feed birds! They attract a wide variety of species and last longer than loose seed—meaning more birdwatching, less mess, and less waste. 💰 Want to Save While Feeding the Birds? Join our Daily Savings Club and enjoy: One FREE 5 lb bag of No Mess NM seed 15% OFF all bird food Access to exclusive deals and specials 📚 Want to Learn More About Parrots? Join us this Saturday at 2 PM in-store for a free educational talk on the wild parrots of the RGV, led by Terrilyn Alaniz, President of the Arroyo Colorado Audubon Society. Then, meet us again at 7 PM at Oliveira Park in Brownsville for a guided parrot walk—a perfect chance to witness these incredible birds in action. Since they're endangered in Mexico, it’s extra special to see them here in the RGV. 🌅🦜 Happy birding, from the RGV's friendly backyard bird feeding specialists! 💛🐦 #wbumcallen #rgvbirds #backyardbirding #mcallentexas #riograndevalley #Riograndevalleytexas

While they're rarely seen in the Rio Grande Valley, a juvenile Bald Eagle was spotted in the area just last Fall! Did you know that Bald Eagles build the largest nests of any North American bird? 🪺 Some nests have been recorded at 10 feet across, 12 feet deep, and weighing up to 2000 pounds, according to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Happy birding, from the RGV's friendly backyard bird feeding experts! ❤️🐦 #wbumcallen #rgvbirds #backyardbirding #mcallentexas #riograndevalley #Riograndevalleytexas #birding #birds #shoplocal #supportsmallbusinessowners #ZEISS #ZEISSNature #birdwatching
