Hey Bookworms! We are celebrating Jane Austen’s 250 year anniversary and my birthday (I’m not 250 years old, but close 🤪) on Saturday, April 12th with a delightful and festive crafting session from 10:30 AM-12:30 PM! Tea and cake will be served. 🫖 DM me to RESERVE your SPOT TODAY! Fact: although her stories were considered to be some of the most romantic works of her time, Austen famously never married, but she did have admirers. Jane was known for her “universal comic wit.” My favorite quotes straight out of the Pride and Prejudice novel.. “In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.” Darcy: I love you. Most ardently. Please do me the honor of accepting my hand. Elizabeth Bennet: Sir, I appreciate the struggle you have been through, and I am very sorry to have caused you pain. 💔 (she obviously rejects him the first time 😉). Jane Austen (December 16th 1775 -July 18th 1817) "I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading!" See you Soon! Marty #community #craft #janeausten #indiebookstore #mcallen #rgv
