Hey y’all…
Finally found time to reminisce over the beginning of pride weekend. And on behalf of the Pecado family, we freaking love you guys, forrreeeaalll. ❤️
There are times when spaces like ours can’t exist without a fight. Spaces where queens could be queens, where lovers could be lovers, where lost ones could be found. Spaces where the most holy rules are “tip the drag performers” and “don’t walk across the f*cking stage while someone’s performing.” It’s an honor to be able to work in those spaces and represent the legacy of those who fought for our pride.
Each weekend hits us sweaty little bar staffers differently, but there are times we find ourselves with a moment to breathe and look out and witness the magic in the crowds... the web of love on the dance floor, the string of passion between two pairs of eyes, the screams in unison when old friends collide 😾❤️🔥 you guys r so cute 🥰
You have no idea how much we wish we could share the fun on the same side as you all. (It’s excruciating sometimes.) But at the end of each night, we’re laughing, we’re kissing and hugging each other goodbye, because it’s hard to have a bad night when you know you’ve worked hard for something so beautiful.
Memories are made each night at Pecado and our fellow beloved queer-forward spaces in McAllen. Thank you to our promoters, non profit organizations, staff and everyone that believes in this space we have created for our community called Pecado. From the bottom of our heart, we love you all. Thank you for making RGV magical!
Happy Pride!
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤍🤎
