Have you heard about MPL's Lit Kits? They are like a book club in a box, ready to help you and your book club discover, read and discuss a good book. You can check out one kit at a time from the Main Library for 6 weeks, with the option of renewing it for another 6 weeks. All you need is your McAllen Public Library card! Get ready to rally the Rebels and head back to McAllen Public Library for our Amnesty Month, running until May 4, right in time for Star Wars Day. Return any overdue items to any MPL location—no matter how late—and we’ll remove the fines. This only applies to materials currently checked out, so bring those books, DVDs, CDs, and Blu-rays back to the library. All month long, enjoy Star Wars-themed photo ops at Main Library, and don’t miss our family-friendly celebration on Sunday, May 4th from 2–5 PM, featuring activities and favorite characters from the galaxy.
