As many of you know, the Flying Walrus has had to endure several unwarranted attacks by its own city of McAllen in recent months. The stress of these events has taken a strong toll on our Owner, GM, Booking Manager and Front of the House Manager, James Alexander, which culminated in his hospitalization just a few weeks ago. A number of staff, doctors and friends have advised James to “ take it easy and lean on them for help”. Among them was @wheres_steven25 who has handled the majority of door and security duties for several years now. Steven has also grown as a promoter and booking agent himself in his time at The Walrus. So in the spirit of solidarity, growth and hope for the future we proudly announce that the decision has been made to name Steven Guerrero the new Booking and Assistant Floor Manager for The Flying Walrus. We are exciting for what Steven brings to the Flying Walrus. His sincere love for the community has always been undeniable and his hard work and friendship have not gone unnoticed.
